RANTOUL - Marie Ileen Hoveln, 89, of Rantoul passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at home.Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, March 18, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gifford, with Pastor Gary Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Kopmann Cemetery, Royal. Baier Family Funeral Services, Flatville, is assisting the family with arrangements. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the church.Marie was born Jan. 28, 1936, in Gifford, the daughter of Mike and Elfrieda Hesterberg Schluter. She married Alvin Hoveln on Sept. 19, 1954, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gifford. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 2010.She is survived by two sons, Ron (Sarah) Hoveln of Syracuse, N.Y., and David (Karla) Hoveln of Clayton, Del.; daughter-in-law, Marie Hoveln of San Diego; five grandchildren, Julie (Alex Rockdashil) Hoveln, Jason (Stacey) Hoveln, Victoria (Matt) Almond, Joshua (Brittany) Hoveln and Colin (Kelsey) Hoveln; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn (Larry) Miller; and two
