PAXTON - Jakub "Jake" Thomas Pietkiewicz, 44, of Paxton passed away Thursday (Aug. 1, 2024).A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 407 W. Pells St., Paxton, with Father Nestor Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton, with the rosary recited at 4 p.m.Jake was born Feb. 22, 1980, in Szczecinek, Poland, the son of Jerzy and Zofia Lamorski Pietkiewicz. He married Laura Unfried on June 11, 2005, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Enfield. She survives.Along with his wife, Laura, he is survived by a son, Lucas, and daughter, Miriam; two sisters, Renia Paquette of Albany, N.Y., and Elizabeth Koprek of Pittsfield, Mass.; two brothers, Miroslaw "Mirek" (Iwona) Pietkiewicz of East Greenbush, N.Y., and Michal (Rachel Lane) Pietkiewicz of Vienna, Va.; his father and mother-in-law, John and Connie Unfried
